Major new exhibition dedicated to Finding Antarctica

This exhibition celebrates the centenary of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (AAE) 1911-1914, led by Sir Douglas Mawson and his crew who were pivotal in Australia's territorial claim to 42 per cent of the Antarctic Territory.

Visitors can view previously unseen AAE Maps and photographs of photographer Frank Hurley and many more interesting artefacts.

Finding Antarctica is a free exhibition at the State Library of NSW. A media release from the State Library provides further details on the exhibition.

For further information go to our Events calendar or contact Vanessa Bond, Manager, Media and Communications Branch, NSW State Library, on telephone (02) 9273 1566.
